Sand System Ltd is one of the stable suppliers of raw materials and products to a number of sectors of industry and trade. Since 2005, we have been collaborating with major companies in the construction industry, transport industry and air and water purification companies. Since the beginning of our activity, we mainly focus on supplying Silica Sand and coloured Silica Sand. Over time we have expanded our range of prodcuts to include road marking and abrasive blasting media. We have business partners all around Central Europe. Our subsidiary company Sand System Slovakia Ltd represents us in Slovakia.

The main priority of our company is to provide a high-quality service to our partners. We have warehouses in Prague, Ostrava, Brno, Bratislava, Prešov and Bytča to provide fast delivery to our customers. Our priority is the guarantee of reliable delivery within all of Europe according to demand.

Our partners value us, especially for the services provided, large inventory, a wide range of products and financial and personal stability.

Silica Sand

Silica Sand with high content of SiO2 is sorted in multiple steps wet and later also sieved dry. The drying process is done with the use of modern equipment and is then packed in paper or plastic sandbags or Big Bag sacks according to individual requests. To manufacturing plants or large constructions, we deliver sand in bulk or tank trucks.

Silica Sand – Grain size

Water and Air Purification

We are the suppliers of filtration media for a wide spectrum of water and air purification in the water industry. The main products that we offer are activated carbon, Hydro Anthracite, filtration sand, filtration glass and Zeolite. On request, we are able to suggest the most effective water and air filtration media.

Activated Carbon

Activated carbon (Adsorption carbon) is carbon produced from raw materials such as coal, wood or coconut husk.

Activated carbon has a porous structure and a large inner surface area (400–1 500 m2/g).

It can absorb a wide spectrum of substances. Depending on the raw material and technological conditions of the activation process, different pore structures and mechanical properties of activated carbon arise which are suitable for a wide variety of applications.

Types of Activated Carbon:

  • Pelletised
  • Granulated
  • Powdered
  • Impregnated

Hydro Anthracite

A completely natural product, the highest quality Anthracite is mined from a depth of around 1500 m. The material is left in its natural state, ground and sifted, with extremely high hardness and resistance to abrasion. Natural Anthracite is chemically neutral.

Use of filter Hydro Anthracite:

It is used alone or as a filling of a multilayer filtration device for more efficient removal of mechanical impurities, or for removal of suspended substances and turbidity during the treatment of drinking water or wastewater.

It is mainly used as the top layer of filter media for multi-layer filtration in open or closed fixed-bed filters.

Filtration Sand

High quality dried sands designated for water filtration. They are manufactured in accordance with the most advanced technology of input processing. They are rinsed, dried and sifted in a way to guarantee the highest possible quality and low dust content.

Filtration Sand

0,1-0,3mm 0,1-0,5mm 0,2-0,8mm 0,4-0,8mm 0,6-1,2mm 0,8-1,2mm
1-1,6mm 1,4-2,0mm 1-2mm 2-4mm 3-5mm 4-8mm

Zeolite

Zeolite is a 100% natural product which is perfectly suited for filtering pool water with its excellent filtering properties. It maximises the efficiency of filtration and significantly reduces the operating costs of maintaining clean water in the pool. It can also be used in drinking water treatment plants.

Sandblasting

Sanblasting, also known as Abrasive Blasting, is the operation of forcibly propelling a stream of abrasive material against a surface under high pressure for surface treatment:

– surface cleaning of various materials

– treatment of the surface to the prescribed roughness

– removal of corrosion, paint sediments and sediments or rust

– removal of scale

– matting or polishing of the surface

– strengthening of the surface by Shot Peening

Non-metal or metal blasting materials are used as Abrasive blasting media. The blasting material is chosen according to the type of material of the blasted surface and the desired blasting result (polishing, roughening, smoothing).

– Silica Sand

– Copper slag (Polgrit – inert abrasive, substitute for silica sand)

– Brown and white corundum (or a mix of brown and white corundum)

– Steel granulate

– Steel grit

– Glass beads

Salt and Salt products

Sea salt

Sea Salt is used to treat pool water in pools equipped with Saltwater Filter System, in which electrolysis of the prepared salt solution takes place. It can also be used without Saltwater Filter System but it must be used in combination with the standard pool chemical products.

In our range you can choose from high quality Croatian sea salt with a fraction of 0.5 – 1.3 mm = „fine“ therefore it dissolves quickly, or a coarser variant with a fraction of 2.5 – 4 mm. The salt is non-iodized and free of other undesirable substances.

Rock Salt

Rock Salt is fine salt, with 90% granulation of 0.2 mm. The salt is of food quality and is suitable for the preparation of saltwater in swimming pools that use Saltwater Filter Systems. This salt is mined from a salt mine in Poland, then the vacuum recrystallization process is used which results in the final product of pure Sodium Chloride.

Salt Tablets

Salt Tablets are used as a regenerating agent for Ion-exchange columns to remove Calcium or Magnesium in domestic water purifiers, dishwashers, or water softening devices. The tablets contain pure Sodium Chloride pressed into round shaped tablets. Their benefit is simple dosage and zero dusting.

Decoration

Coloured Silica Sand

Coloured sands are produced in the Q Sand Polsko manufacturing facilities which is the largest European manufacturer of coloured sands. The best quality Silica sands with a high content of SiO2 and small content of other elements are used for the production of these products. The colouring process takes place using modern equipment with the use of high-quality pigments and epoxy and polyurethane resins.

Acrylic Chips and Glitters

Acrylate Chips (flakes, sheets) are made from acrylic resin, organic and inorganic pigments and additives. They contain various additives for high resistance to UV radiation, light and weather conditions. By combining individual colors, an original finish can be created.

Use of Acrylic Chips:

– Decorative purposes in flooring and construction

– Plastering and coating systems
